The citation of the Plan has now been amended to the Meath County Development Plan 2021-2027, (formerly 2020-2026). The amendment is due to the extension of all proposed timelines caused by;

1.  The Emergency Measures in the Public Interest (Covid 19) Act which paused statutory timeframes by a period of 8 weeks.

2. The Chief Executive deciding to avail of the full statutory timeframes for the Plan in order to ensure comprehensive consideration of the 2452 submissions received.

It was anticipated that the Plan would be adopted by the end of 2020 however due to the above unforeseen circumstances this has not been possible.
